Sideboard with three drawers over a divided base cupboard with two black sliding glass doors, on black tapered legs.

A nicely proportioned and understated sideboard of superb quality with careful detailing, such as the curved chamfer to the front frame and mitred corners. Very reminiscent of the Hilleplan range designed in 1952 by Robin Day for Hille, UK. The Hilleplan range, Day’s first fully standardised storage system, was made of Agba tropical hardwood with contrasting sliding vitrolite doors.

This sideboard is likely Agba wood, with drawer frames and interior fittings in beech. The centre draw has cutlery divisions; the left hand cupboard a single deep shelf and the right hand cupboard a half shelf under full width narrow shelf.

Top surface has been refurbished but slight water damage is still visible. No makers' mark.
