Lidded coffee pot, in the rarely seen green colourway, designed by Albert Colledge for Denby in 1958. It is very rare to find the jug with its original lid. The curvaceous body has a ridged form, decorated with broken vertical white and black lines. The interior is glazed in green and there is a green line around the knob on the lid. A beautiful piece.
The original Burlington design was glazed in matt black, decorated with broken white vertical lines. Soon after a turquoise blue variation was introduced, followed by a green version and also multi coloured pastel pieces. The forms have handsome lines and proportions and the range consisted of a variety of vessels, including: vases, bowls, planters, lidded jugs, coffee pots, coffee mugs and cruets.
