Cheval mirror from the Cantata range by Stag. The tilting mirror sits on a simple a wooden frame with a teak base piece. The straight lines and uncomplicated design give this mirror clean mid-century elegance.

Designed in 1966 by Ron Carter as part of the Cantata range - his first as design consultant for Stag. The 1966 catalogue said of the 'Cantata' range that it was perfect for any modern house or flat. Carter who died in 2013 has been described by many as the foremost furniture designer of his generation. 

The mirror is in excellent condition. The teak base has been refinished in Danish oil. Some small marks to frame.
