Studio pottery decanter, or carafe, hand thrown in the 1970s by Dianne Sanders for Broadstairs Pottery, Kent. Very pleasing form in oatmeal finish with a band of incised decoration, on an unglazed umber ground, to the base. Inverted conical striped stopper, fitted with a cork seal. A stylish piece
The stamped pattern around the lower part of the bottle is an archetypal Broadstairs design and the ridged body is also a feature of Broadstairs Pottery which operated from 1968 to 1983.
