Large (16cm) Caithness Glass vase, from the Oban range, designed by Charles Orr and Paul Ysart in 1968, shape OG2 with deep brown and pink stripes.

Some very small 'nibbles' to the inside rim of the opening.

Oban was a landmark range for the company, changing thier hallmark style as it involved surface patterns and introudced stripes as a recurring motif. Imported Kugler coloured glass rods were drawn out and used for the coloured stripes sandwiched between two layers of glass. Widths vary depending on how the rod was drawn out and how the colour reacted to the body glass. Orr designed a number of new shapes for the range such as the OG2.
