West German textured ceramic jug, covered in 'scales' referred to as resembling a pineapple, made by jasba. Fantastic deep red glaze with black shadow marks.
Jasba Keramikfabriken was founded in 1926 by Jakob Schwaderlapp in Ransbach-Baumbach, near Koblenz in western Germany. The two main designers were Cilli Wörsdörfer and Christiane Reuter. The company discontinued its art pottery lines in 1971.
