An exceptional pair of vintage beech Folkestolen (The People's Chair), model J39, designed by Borge Mogensen for FDB Mobler, Denmark. Sculpturally curved backrests with visible dowel fixing and seats woven with original paper cord, resting on solid sturdy legs. Designed in 1947 and still in production today, but these examples have an original 1970s makers label (on underside of one chair): FDB Made in Denmark Mobler by FDB Furniture Makers Danish Control. In excellent vintage condition, gently used with only very minor signs of wear.
