Classic 1950’s wicker footstool, or ottoman, designed by Franco Albini in 1951. An iconic retro design and yet totally contemporary - a super stylish addition to any room as a decorative or functional piece.
Franco Albini was an Italian Architect who worked for Knoll. Two sizes were produced and this is the smaller version.
In generally good original condition, but showing some signs of age with some of the internal supports missing. This does not however affect the stability of the piece.
Still being made today by Sika of Denmark but this is definitely an early vintage example.
